CenterpointConnected
A customer portal that gives Geoprobe customers one place to view their orders, quotes, service records, machines, and tracking information.
- Role
- Full Stack Developer
- Team
- 2 developers
- Timeline
- About 7 months
- Stack
- C#, TypeScript, SQL, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS
- Outcome
- Replaced a legacy SAP-integrated customer portal
The problem
Geoprobe’s previous customer portal depended on SAP integration, which made it rigid and difficult to change. Customers had no easy, self-serve way to look up their own equipment and account information, so routine questions landed on support staff.
The solution
Another developer and I built CenterpointConnected from the ground up over about seven months. It pulls ERP data into a fast, responsive portal where customers can see their sales orders, quotes, service records, serialized machines, and tracking information in one place, without the old SAP-based system in the way.
What I built
- Built a customer portal from the ground up with one other developer.
- Replaced an older portal that depended on SAP integration and gave customers a more accessible way to view their business information.
- Designed the SQL queries and data-retrieval processes for ERP information.
- Developed responsive front-end functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Worked through testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and usability improvements during development.
- Integrated information from multiple business processes into a single customer-facing application.
